2004 Ford Focus Timing Belt?

Hello everyone! I have a 2004 Ford Focus ZX3 with the 2.0 DOHC engine. I just changed the timing belt and followed the manual to the letter. I bought a Goodyear Gatorback timing belt because the salesman at the car part store said it was a good brand. Now that it's done, the belt seems to want to ride on the edge of the cam gears and its making a "ticking" noise (almost like a valve tap) coming from the belt. I believe the tension is correct. Is this just a noisy belt? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
