Do you have to pay the transport fee when you purchase a new vehicle from the dealership?

I went to a car dealership having intentions in purchasing a car. the sales agent let me look at the fees on the payment list. The salesman is going to let me have the price of the car upon what the dealer pays for it. I get no incentive $$ for the car. Then there was a charge for transportation fee which is the fee that the manufacturers charge to transport the car to the dealership. My question is this? Is there a rule out there somewhere to say the transport fee could be excluded from the price of the vehicle.? The transport fee is $895.00. The car is a 2011 Chrysler 300. $24K + sales tax, title, license, document fee$55. = $27K. Somebody give me the heads up on a negotiation strategy. the sales agent want budge. Is the transport fee really, really necessary. NO STUPID REMARKS PLEASE. JUST TRYING TO GET SOME INFO. :D Thank You
